Course Plan

Week 1 - An Introduction to Self-Care
Our first week together will introduce the core concepts of meaningful, lasting self-care; the mindset essential to personal growth; and how to build self-care practices that support your mind, body, and spirit.
Week 2 - Meeting Your Body’s Physical Needs
Meaningful self care is about meeting your needs as a person. This week we’ll focus on what those needs are, how you can recognize them in yourself, responding to some of the challenging self-talk we all have, and how to move forward from that awareness with positive change.
Week 3 - Sleep Support of Longevity and Purpose
One foundation of wellness is the desire to have longevity, but also vitality. To add quality and energy to the long years of our life. Sleep has a significant impact on our health, longevity, wellness, and well-being; and is our focus this week.
Week 4 - Foundations of Nutrition
“You are what you eat”. Have you ever thought much about that famous turn of phrase? It’s in your relationship with food, the ethics of how you feed yourself, and the literal compounds you put in your body. This week you’ll be eating to support your wellness.
Week 5 - Movement for Wellness and Well-Being
You’ve probably noticed these two words: “wellness” and “well-being”. You might even think they’re interchangeable. But wellness refers to the ongoing practice of caring for your physical self, typically through healthy lifestyle behaviors. And well-being is more holistic, encompassing all areas of a well-lived life. Movement can impact all of these things.
Week 6 - Stress and Ongoing Self-Care
This is the last week of the course and time to balance the nourishment of self-care with the stress of coping with day-to-day modern living. You’ll also be making a game plan for how to carry all you’ve learned forward into long term wellness.
