Root Yourself To The Earth

When we are seeking to feel more grounded - a practice that can help fight anxiety, stress, and overwhelm, or the feeling of being overstimulated, jumpy, or overwrought - there are few things better than connecting with nature to help us do so. This grounding meditation utilizes the power of visualization and breath to help connect our heart center with the energy of the Earth.

If you can, try to do this meditation somewhere outdoors, in nature: in a garden, in a park, or on the beach, for instance. Somewhere you can connect with the sounds, smells, and feelings of being in nature. If that is not available to you at this moment, that’s perfectly ok! Either way, it will help infuse you with the strong, nurturing, and steady energy of a tree, helping you reconnect the roots of your spirit with that of Mother Earth.
