Do you ever get into bed after a long day only to spend hours thinking, rethinking, and possibly overthinking anything from what happened during that day, to something that happened years ago? Or perhaps it’s a philosophical question that keeps you up - or your to-do list. These racing thoughts and ruminations are often caused by stressful events or unresolved issues in our everyday lives, which can not only keep us awake at night, but also damage our sleep quality.
This guided meditation is designed to help you relieve your bedtime ruminations by accepting their presence. As you listen to relaxing piano music, you will be invited to bring your awareness to different body parts. Allow any feelings of anxiety, stress, frustration, pressure, and heaviness to drift from your body into the Earth beneath. Feel your body and mind resting and relaxing – as if you were in a luxurious spa.
This meditation is suitable for all levels, and can be used for calming negative thoughts, relieving stress, and managing mild symptoms of insomnia before sleep. Please be aware that this meditation is not for treating chronic sleep issues.
