Loving-kindness meditation – also known as Metta meditation – is an ancient practice that originated from the Buddha 2,600 years ago. Studies have shown that this practice can help cultivate happiness, appreciation, and acceptance, as well as building love, gratitude, and compassion. 

This meditation is about radiating love and kindness. You will visualize a loving white or golden light emanating from your heart. You’ll spread this loving energy outwards to those around you, and extend it to all humanity on Earth. Immerse yourself in joy as you inhale and exhale. Allow this light to grow in intensity – and in doing so, fill your body with the warmth of love. 

We recommend sitting in a chair or cross-legged on the floor. For the best effect, keep an open and accepting mind as you practice. This meditation is suitable for all levels, and is ideal for anyone looking to bring more happiness, safety, health, and peace into their lives.
