When you’re having an intense day, or your energy is low, it can be easy to forget to pay attention to the signals your body is sending. But boosting your energy could be as simple as taking a 5-minute break to move with intention – and this meditation will help you do exactly that!
Based on the Traditional Chinese Medicine practice of qi-gong (氣功) – which involves gentle physical movements, deep breathing, and mental relaxation – this meditation aims to help you strengthen your qi (also known as chi), the vital energy or “life force” that flows through the body. You will be guided to gently move your arms up and down, matching the rhythm of your breath, to decrease your stress while boosting your energy levels, mental clarity, and physical state.
This meditation is suitable for all levels. We suggest doing this somewhere you can sit down comfortably, with some room to move your limbs. Feel free to take a break if you experience any discomfort during this meditation.
