Stillness Within
Negative emotions such as stress, anxiety, fear, and worry can often stem from the constant activity and lack of stillness in our lives. Studies have shown that practicing stillness can not only help us relax our minds, but also alleviate our bodily tensions. This meditation will invite you to cultivate stillness by focusing on the present. With calming background music, this exercise will guide you to pay attention to any distractions that cause activity around you – such as thoughts, sounds, smells, sights, sensations, tastes, and feelings. The goal is to help you acknowledge them, release them, and let them go.
This exercise is suitable for all levels, and can be used for relaxation. We recommend listening to it after work, on weekends, or before sleep.
